What we collect
We collect only such data as is necessary to provide you with the best possible service.
If you contact us we will collect your name, email address and contact telephone number.
If you make a booking with us we will collect the following information for each non-French national in the booking party: full name, address, date and place of birth, nationality, telephone number and email address.
If we need to refund any monies to you, we will collect your requested payment details to enable us to pay the refund. We do not retain your account details on our records after the payment has been processed.
Why do we collect the Data?
We collect statistics about your use of our website via Cookies to enable us to refine our service, e.g. by removing pages which are rarely visited and adding further detail to pages which are more frequently visited by users.
We request data from you to enable us to respond to a request from you for information, to enable us to complete a booking as requested by you, to enable us to contact you about your stay at Le Pressoir, or to comply with current French law.
If we specifically ask for, and obtain your permission to do so, we may also from time to time send you promotional emails about our special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting. We do not send regular or frequent promotional emails.
We are required by French law (article R611-42 of code of entry and stay of aliens and of the right of asylum) to ensure that all non-French nationals staying at Le Pressoir complete a police form (Fiche d'hôtel individuelle pour les touristes étrangers). We will provide you with the printed form on arrival at Le Pressoir. This law requires us to retain the form for 6 months, and make it available to the French police at their request, after which time we will securely dispose of the form by shredding or incineration.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to know if we hold personal data about you, and the right to request details of that personal data (please use the Enquiries facility to raise your request and we will respond with a full list of any data we hold about you).
You have the right to the correction of any inaccuracies in the personal data we hold about you.
You have the right to have your personal information removed from our records. Upon receipt of your instruction we will delete your data after 180 days (the 180 day retention period is to enable us to respond to any Court authorised request from government or law enforcement officials for its disclosure).
You have the right to lodge a complaint regarding our collection, retention or use of your Data with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatiques et des Libertés (CNIL).
